Accurately renovated: this interesting and charming loft results from the renovation of a century-old space, once probably part of the Santa Croce convents (some of the walls are traced to the 14th century). A private garden makes this apartment unique: you stay in the very core of old Florence, yet you feel as if you were enjoying an out-of-town vacation in the adjoining countryside. Though the inner space may be perceived as a whole, we have managed to give some areas a good privacy by the insertion of a door between the living area and the double bedroom.A fully equipped kitchen is set in a corner of the living/dining .Perfect for two, it can host 4 persons with good comfort : in the living two single sofa-beds can provide the extra-bedding (and two small, yet complete bathrooms add to the comfort)

Location: Santa Croce is a very interesting and lively district. On one hand you have important and world-famous monuments ( like the Basilica di Santa Croce with Giotto’s frescoes and Brunelleschi’ s Cappella), the wonderful Piazza, the Bargello, Michelangelo’s house and so on. On the other hand, many intersting and unusual shops, the flee-market, the Leather School.the S.Ambrogio Market will make your day…and many eateries, pizzerias, restaurants will cheer you up at night. Some of the best-known restaurants in Italy are here, like Cibreo ( unusual and Renaissance-inspired food), not to speak of the world-famous Enoteca Pinchiorri, a high-end experience( accordingly priced ).
Our tips: in front of the apartment, Carandini manufactures amazing parchment boxes and gifts- on the adjacent via de’ Macci, the Lastrucci firm continues the century-old tradition of the “Commesso di pietre dure” an amazing decorative technique ( objects in semi-precious stone) from the Medici’s time.
